Schwabach is a German city with approximately 40,000 inhabitants near Nuremberg, in the center of the Bavaria North Franconia region. The city is an autonomous district (Kreisfreie Stadt). Schwabach is also the name of a river that runs through the city before Rednitz joins it. Schwabach is also the birthplace of composer Adolf von Henselt, botanist Johann Gottfried Zinn, biologist Ralf Baumeister and one of the mp3 developers, Bernhard Grill.
